My name is Gimena. I’m a graphic designer and bookbinder, born in Rosario, Argentina. I currently live in Japan.

I have always been fascinated by bookstores, books, and notebooks. I used to buy notebooks that I later couldn’t bring myself to use because they were so beautiful, and without realizing it I began building a small collection of blank notebooks, kept like little treasures.

Even though I had experimented with handmade bookbinding before, in 2017 I took a workshop that changed my life. I finished it with many more tools and skills, and with the confidence to start creating notebooks to sell.

In 2018, I began participating in fairs, where I started selling my creations, met wonderful people, received invitations to collaborate, and began developing my own projects combining graphic design, editorial design, and handcrafted bookbinding.

To this day, I continue learning, creating, and searching for new ideas and opportunities for further collaborations.
